Junior Buyer
Casa Grande, AZ

Job Description:

Price Industries Inc. is on the search for a Junior Buyer, for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Casa Grande, AZ. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager. The Junior Buyer will be responsible for managing the purchased items and working in conjunction with the Application Engineering group, Customer Service group, production planning, and manufacturing personnel, for the items that are ordered to allow orders to meet desired delivery dates.

Responsibilities:

  • Track status of materials to ensure there are no delays and no missed delivery dates.
  • Actively support manufacturing in any problems with Bill of Materials.
  • Manage expedites for materials as it relates to materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Minimal of High school diploma.
  • Preferred two year technical degree.

Special Training:

  • Strong grasp of: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD Drawings.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Problem solving and Analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of how a manufacturing plant operates.
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP systems.

Service Overview:

Customer focus is the key function of this position. Schedules production to comply with customer delivery requirements in an accurate and timely manner using appropriate computer data systems. Interfacing with appropriate personnel for scheduling of equipment, supply departments, manufacturing lines and the documentation of these activities for accurate reporting and evaluation of trends. This includes:

  • Coordination with Order Entry and  Engineering.
  • Ensure timeliness and tracking status of materials to minimize order delays.
  • Verifying Bill of Materials and Engineering Documentation for all orders are available.

The primary duties of the Production Worker position include assembly line type of work specifically for stainless steel and aluminum material.

The ideal candidate for this position will be:

  • A team player, committed to working safely.
  • In good physical condition as some heavy lifting is required.
  • Able to work unsupervised in a fast paced environment.
  • Willing and able to perform shift work, if required.
